Centre Bearing Assembly and Installation Tips

All of the centre bearings listed have rubber in their construction, which acts as a flexible and vibration isolating mounting of the drive shaft to the vehicle chassis / body. It is therefore important that the assembly is carefully and correctly carried out. When a centre bearing fails, damage to the drive shaft may result. This should be repaired as necessary
after inspection.

Use correct diameter tube to press Flinger into place without damage or distortion.

Press centre bearing into position with suitable diameter tube pushing only through inner race of bearing.

IMPORTANT: Check that the centre bearing rotates freely when fully assembled to the drive shaft, and if possible check free rotation of driveshaft when installed in the vehicle.
